HSC・アリム修了後
This is the most common profile at Inochi. With 12 years of schooling you can apply to any Japanese language school; direct university admission from HSC is rare because it needs N2 Japanese or an English-taught programme with IELTS plus strong grades and the EJU exam.
- Science / commerce / arts background makes no difference to language-school admission; it matters later for university subject choice.
- GPA below 3.0 is not a bar for language schools, but a very low GPA plus a long gap invites questions about motivation.
- Best timing: start Japanese classes right after the HSC exam (May–June) and target the April intake the following year.
ディプロマ修了後
A 4-year diploma after SSC counts as 12 years of education, so language schools accept it. Diploma holders in engineering, IT or nursing have an advantage later: after N4/N3 they are strong candidates for senmon gakko courses in the same field and for the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa in caregiving, manufacturing and construction.
Nursing diploma holders: Japan's caregiving (介護) sector actively recruits; the SSW-Caregiving route needs JFT-Basic/N4 plus the Nursing Care Skills Evaluation Test, and the EPA nurse route needs N3+. Ask us which fits your licence.
学士・修士修了後
- Direct graduate admission: Japanese universities run English-taught Masters/PhD programmes (IELTS 6.0–6.5 typical) and Japanese-taught ones (N2/N1). A professor's acceptance often matters more than the application form — email potential supervisors early.
- Scholarships: MEXT (Embassy recommendation, applications in Dhaka usually around May–June) and university-recommended MEXT; JASSO and private foundations once enrolled.
よくある質問
Can I go to Japan after HSC without a gap?
Yes — start Japanese classes right after the HSC exam and you can reach the April intake the following year, which means about 9–10 months between HSC and departure.
Is there an age limit for a Japan student visa?
No legal limit. Language schools usually accept 18–30 comfortably; older applicants need a clear, work-linked reason for studying Japanese now.
I have a 4-year study gap — can I still apply?
Usually yes, if you can document what you did (employment certificate, trade licence, etc.) and explain in your Statement of Purpose why Japan now. Gaps longer than 5 years are harder but not impossible for applicants with a professional background.
Can I go straight to a Japanese university after HSC?
Only with JLPT N2-level Japanese (and usually the EJU exam) or an English-taught programme that accepts IELTS. For most HSC students, 1–2 years at a language school in Japan is the realistic bridge to university admission.
