誰が日本に留学できるか
Japanese language schools accept students who have completed 12 years of schooling — in Bangladesh that means HSC, Alim, or a 4-year Diploma after SSC. Honours and Masters graduates are welcome too and often find the later steps (university transfer, work visa) easier because of their degree.
- Age: no legal upper limit for a student visa, but immigration looks harder at applicants over ~30 and at long gaps — a consistent study plan matters more than age itself.
- Study gap: up to about 5 years is generally fine if your Statement of Purpose explains what you did (job, family business, illness) and why Japan now.
- Academic results: there is no fixed GPA cut-off for language schools; universities and scholarships (MEXT, JASSO) do look at grades.
- Married applicants can apply. Bringing a spouse or child is a separate 'Dependent' status decided later, once you are settled.
- Financial sponsor: a parent or close relative who can show income, tax records and a bank balance that covers the first year (more on this in the cost section).

Almost every Bangladeshi student enters Japan through one of three doors. The right one depends on your Japanese level, budget and goal.

よくある質問
Can I study in Japan after HSC from Bangladesh?
Yes. HSC (or Alim / Diploma) is the minimum qualification for a Japanese language school. Most students start language school 1–2 years before moving on to a university or vocational college in Japan.
Do I need IELTS to study in Japan?
No — for language schools and Japanese-taught programmes you need Japanese (JLPT), not IELTS. IELTS or TOEFL is only asked by English-taught university programmes.
How much bank balance does the sponsor need to show?
Schools and immigration want to see that the first year is covered. Inochi's partner schools typically ask for around 12 lakh BDT for a parent sponsor and about 15 lakh BDT for a relative sponsor, with matching income and tax documents. A sudden one-time deposit without income history is a common reason for refusal.
How long does the whole process take?
Plan for 9–12 months: 3–6 months of Japanese classes, 1–2 months of school application and documents, about 90 days for the COE, and about a week for the visa.
Is Japan cheaper than Canada, the UK or Australia for Bangladeshi students?
Usually yes. First-year costs of 9–11 lakh BDT are well below typical UK/Canada/Australia first-year costs, no IELTS is required for the language-school route, and legal part-time work covers most living expenses. The trade-off is that you must learn Japanese.
