From the government-funded MEXT to school-specific tuition waivers — the main scholarships Bangladeshi students can target for study in Japan. Most are awarded after enrolment; talk to an Inochi counsellor about timing your application.

• MEXT Scholarship (Monbukagakusho)

  Apply through the Japanese Embassy in Dhaka (embassy-recommended) — written exams + interview. Inochi helps prepare your file.

• JASSO Honors Scholarship

  What it covers

  A monthly living-cost stipend for privately-funded international students with good attendance and grades.

  Eligibility

  Enrolled at a Japanese language school / college / university; strong attendance (90%+) and academic performance.

  How to apply

  Your school nominates eligible students. Keep attendance high from day one to qualify.

• School Tuition Reduction / Waiver

  Individual language schools & universities30% – 100% of tuitionAt admission / first year (merit-based)

  What it covers

  Many partner schools offer partial-to-full tuition reductions for strong applicants or high JLPT scores.

  Eligibility

  Varies by school — typically JLPT N4+, good academic record, or strong interview.

• Local Government & Private Foundation Grants

  What it covers

  Dozens of regional and private scholarships open up once you are studying in Japan — many are less competitive than MEXT.

  Eligibility
